As soon as the sun set, Jalen and I gathered in the forest clearing with our warriors. Tonight, we were going to get my mate back. I was ready to tear David limb from limb; he would regret taking her from me. The motive behind abducting his own daughter was still a mystery to us all, but we were about to find out why.
“What’s the plan, Dante?” Jalen asks, his face taut with focus.
“I believe our best course of action is to leave Rashaad, Akira, and Luis here to defend my territory alongside the warriors who aren’t accompanying us on this mission. Jett is too much of a threat to leave it defenseless,” I explained quickly.
Jalen flicks a nervous glance at Luis. “I’m not sure how comfortable I am leaving my Beta here,” he admitted.
