I sprinted through the dark forest searching for someone, anyone, that could help me. Leaves and branches crunched underneath my bare feet as I ventured deeper and deeper into the forest. My heart pounded in my chest, my breaths coming out in short, painful gasps. Despite the wolfsbane wearing off, enough lingered in my system to prevent communication with Kira.
