“Kamaris, can you hear me? Please answer me. You can’t go through the entrance. It isn’t safe!” I yelled into our bond. Ever since we found the cave, our connection has been growing stronger, but something inside of here is messing with our magic. Not just mine, Alden’s as well.
“Lady Amira, we have to be more cautious. We don’t know what type of things we might run into this close to the underworld.” Alden rushed, the sound of his footsteps not too far behind as I used my flame to light the path before us.
“He could be there already! We might be too late.” I rushed, the panic I felt overrode any thoughts of reason as I started to feel my heart ache.
