My feet pounded against the brick path, my gaze darting around the dark forest as I felt my breathing start to quicken.
"Cinead!" I yelled out, knowing if I thinned, all the progress we had made would be pointless as the path we had been led to would disappear completely. Gods knows how long it would take to get it back.
"Ah!" Cinead cried out, the terror in his voice making my stomach drop as I turned to the left, following where his screams had come from as I pushed off the ground, running straight for him.
