My eyes widened in disbelief, focusing on the spot where Kamaris once stood as I rushed to the side of the boat.
"Kamaris!" I screamed, peering over the side as I saw his hand reaching up beneath the surface.
Panic rushed through me, my heart threatening to burst from my chest as it hammered erratically.
That's when I knew I had to do something..Terik's warning echoed through my mind as I knew the guardian was dragging Kamaris down..
I stood up, my hands fumbling for the back of my dress as I quickly pulled at the sides, making buttons chaotically scatter along the wooden floor.
