“Will you calm down?” Nine asked, causing me to stop biting my fingers and stop walking to face him, making me see his concerned face while we wait for Alex to return.
“As much as I want to, I can’t,” I said, followed by a deep breath before plopping down beside him, already feeling tired after walking back and forth for a while now because of the undying worry and anxiety since Alex isn’t here yet after leaving earlier.
I know I shouldn’t worry too much because Alex can literally put an end to anything so I should just sit back and relax. But for some reason, the more that I convince myself that I should do that, the more I feel anxious about what is happening outside his office.
