I felt tears rolling down my cheeks. My body frozen in place as this sense of overwhelming happiness surged through me. These weren't tears of sadness. No, they were tears of complete and utter joy.
'Lumi, say something. He is staring at us.' Cascadia whispered into my mind, making me sniffle as I realized Sterling was now wiping my tears away.
"Hey, it's okay. Please don't be upset about this." He rushed, making me shake my head no.
"I-it's not that." I managed to whisper, trying to get the words out but struggling.
Cascadia was back. She was okay and I wasn't going to be alone anymore.
'Seems like you haven't been alone to me.' She responded, her guard coming up as I could tell she was watching Sterling closely. Cascadia obviously didn't trust him still. I could feel it.
