When Sterling told me he wanted to make me his Luna, I didn't realize he meant right away... as in tonight! I mean, is it even possible to do it this fast?
I guess I'm not too familiar with other pack traditions, but for Snow Ridge, it was a three day process for the Luna ceremony. Two of those days were spent getting the preparations ready, and the third was the ceremony. At least, that is what my mother explained. It went the same for mating ceremonies.
