CHAPTER SIXTEEN

   Home sweee home, finally home on my bed and at the comfort of my own space, I can’t believe I miss my room so freaking much, Nick has helped been of great help to me during this period of when I was been hospitalised on my sick bed, he was always beside me, sometimes he hardly go to work except when it’s urgent . I went downstairs to look for Nick because I had something important to discussed with him, I was told by the doctor to stay at home for extra four days to rest and give my wolf the chance to regain his strength but I wasn’t planning on staying at home doing nothing, I will think of so many things I won’t be comfortable with, getting down I saw Nick preparing dinner

     “ dad, I will like to ask for your permission on something, I know it will be difficult for you to grant me but please dad it will make me happy and help me mentally if you just say  yes to it please dad ” I said while pleading with him

     “ it depends on what you want to ask me son, so I am not guaranteeing you of me saying yes when I find out that it’s the impossible thing you asking me of “ Nick said while serving the food on a bowl

     “ dad I know I just got back from the hospital and I am meant to be resting but dad I can’t rest and I won’t be able to rest “ I told him

     “ so what do you want me to grant you a yes for “ Asked Nick 

     “ dad please I want to go back to school, I have missed a lot of school activities and I know Jake and Cassy are helping me out with assignments and practicals, but don’t  you think the work load is too much for them to handle, dad please I am okay now, my injury is no more and it it’s healed completely. My wolf and I are both strong,  I don’t see any reasons why I should be at home  till Monday and today is just wendnesday “

     “ no Eric, you are not going back to school till Monday, you need rest and heal properly for your self and  for your wolf. stop been selfish and worry about yourself  especially your wolf “

      “ I have been resting for too long, I need to be free, Carly need to run again and I need the fresh air too and I need some body who can help me prevent this trauma by going to school and seeing friends it willl help me a lot “ 

       “ what trauma  “ Nick asked me, I knew saying that will definitely draw  his attention to me “ I am listening “ Nick said  dropping  the bowl on the kitchen table

       “ I have  been  having nightmares about the night I was almost killed and staying in door won’t help or do you want me to go into a panic attack and been rushed back to the hospital again “ I asked him

       “ you know you trying to act all pity full , that won’t work on me young master”

       “ dad, I am dead serious, I am not joking. Look at me “ I told him and he stopped what he was doing to look at me “ do you think I will lie to you about something  like this, I have been trying to hide it from you for long thinking I will outgrown it but I can’t and this attacked worsen everything  “

      “ what are you talking about pumpkin? “ he asked me

      “ I haven’t been able to have a single goodnight rest since the day mum died, I have be having the nightmares of mum getting killed or been chased by the same man who is trying to kill me down in my dreams and then waking up at night without ever sleeping again. I didn’t want to tell you because I knew you would be worried sick about me. Been with friends and been given a lot of work helps my mind off it than sitting at home doing nothing and thinking about mum, the killer swords laced with wolf bane all this keeps running through my mind dad and I might go insane if I don’t leave home. So please help me out this last time please “ I told him the truth this time, he knows some things about me

          “ I will let you go back on one condition and you need to obey everything i tell  you do it “

       “ I promised dad “

          “ that I will take you to school every morning,  you will wait for me in your class till I come pick you up, no walking round the school and no doing excess work, is that clear. The moment you break the promise, you will definitely be grounded for the rest of the week “

          “ I promise that I will do everything you instruct me to do. Thanks dad, I love you so so so much ” I said giving him a hug and a kiss on his forehead 

           “ one more thing pumpkin “ Nick said

          “ yes dad, what’s that? “ I asked him

          “ Eric you need to go see a doctor concerning your nightmares, a physiologist to help you ease your mind of things so you would be able to sleep at night peacefully, I don’t like the idea of you having constant nightmares “

        “ dad please, I don’t want to go to a hospital again, I hate that place “

        “ if you don’t go then kiss going back to school tomorrow goodbye “ Nick said threatening me

        “ but dad “

         “ no buts pumpkin, that or no school. Your health first before anything else “ he said

         “ fine I will go see a physiologist tomorrow dad “

         “ good boy, I will call and make an appointment with him, make sure you don’t miss it “

          “ I won’t missed it, I promise “

           “ good now sit down let’s eat “ he said pointing to a chair and which I did, we ate in silent and then bidding him goodnight I went up stairs to my bed

    “ noooooo “ I screamed out waking up from my sleep, another nightmare, just something I am used to, wiping the sweat off my face, then I caught hold of the scent of some one. A scent of sandal wood and caramel mixed together. Some one was in my room. Who could that be, I stood up and searched everywhere perceiving it but couldn’t perceive it anywhere except on my bed, who ever the person was he laid on my bed, for God know how long, how did he or she get into my room, then raising my head the window was opened, I quickly ran to the window and locked it. Now I have the pheromone of the person, I am going to look for who ever was in my room and confront the person, he or she might be the one who attacked me. I won’t show mercy to who ever it was that laid on my bed observing me as I slept. Now it has finally dawn on me that I am not safe, I need to learn some martial acts and I have to talk to Nick about that soon.
