CHAPTER SEVENTEEN

      “ hey dad, breakfast is ready “ I called out to Nick who was still fast asleep, he came home early this morning from work. He said there was another killings today as they found four dead bodies, two humans and two werewolves but they haven’t received any report for missing vampires and that they went in search to find the murder weapons or any trace of the killer but the same thing no result nothing was seen or found. So I decided to prepare breakfast for him for the first time in ages since he was tired and I didn’t want to disturb him

“ what breakfast?, I haven’t prepared anything yet and I think I over slept “ Nick said while wearing his necktie 

“ oh, I thought you were sleeping, anyways I prepared breakfast. I didn’t want you to stress yourself “ I told him while placing the dishes on the table 

“ wow you are such a cutie “

“ dad after eating you can go back to bed, I can take the bus to school. You don’t have to get dressed or stressed yourself out because of me “

“ what did I tell you yesterday, I will drop you at school and bring you back home , I want to protect you and keep you safe. I don’t want to risk loosening you or hearing you are in the hospital again from a stranger. Oh before I forgot I have made an appointment with the doctor by 5pm, I will pick you up from school and take you there when you are done, you can call me and I will come pick you up “ Nick said while taking a bite from the food “ hmmmm this is nice, I am passing over breakfast making to you from now on, I will take care of dinner “ he said as he took another bite from his food

“ dad that’s not fair, I did this because I thought you  were tried that’s why I prepared breakfast for you, now you are going to give me work load “ I grumbled to myself 

“ I thought you said having lots of work doing helps you to forget about your nightmares, so I am helping you to forget about it very quick “ Nick smirked as he took another bite “ hmmm this is amazing, you nailed it pumpkin “. When breakfast was done, we both entered into the car as he drove me off to school

“ I will be here by 4pm to pick you up okay? Love you pumpkin “ he said 

“ I love you too dad “ I waved at him till he was gone, then I perceived  some one with a scent of vanilla and strawberry mixed together walking very closed to me and then turning around I came face to face with Cassy 

“ wow young man calm down, it’s Cassy “

“ did you use a perfume mixed with vanilla and strawberry this morning “ I asked her

“ no I didn’t “ she said

“ definitely you did “ I said as I sniffed her

“ stop that Eric, I didn’t use that. What’s wrong with your nose? “ Asked Cassy 

“ I don’t know I definitely perc —- “ another scent of wood dust was approaching our direction “ wood dust “ I said it out loud

“ that’s Jake coming, that’s his pher —— . Wait you can perceive pheromones? “ Cassy asked me looking shocked and surprised

“ perceived pheromones, I don’t understand. Is something happening to me “ I asked her

“ no i***t, that’s like the ability I told you about, it’s like you have it too but how come , why didn’t you tell me about it?, beside it was strange that you were the only werewolf who couldn’t perceive pheromones. So when did it start? “

“ I don’t know, it happened yesterday night, when I perceived a strange smell in my room that wasn’t mine or Nick’s and I don’t know who has it. I don’t know what’s wrong with me Cassy. Since the accident I have been seeing changes in my body. I have well defined abs now and my body is definitely weird in the right way and now this. What’s happening to me Cassy? “ I asked her

“ i really don’t know Eric. You should ask Carly “ suggested Cassy

“ that damn wolf won’t talk to me, he is been quiet ever since the attacked on us, it’s like he  is feeling guilty for been weak, he has shut himself from me, I wish he can let us talk so that I would tell him it’s not his fault that I was attacked and it wasn’t his fault I was hurt, it’s because I am weak, too weak to handle anything. I am not good at martial art“ I told her

“ hey look who woke up from the dead “ Jake said embracing me

“ nice to know I didn’t die, I would have missed you a lot and  I won’t have been able to find out that your pheromone smells like wood dust and Cassy’s is like vanilla mixed with strawberry “ I told him beaming with joy and excitement 

“ wait you finally have the ability to smell, wow I was wondering if you were a wolf or not, so how did it happen and why didn’t you tell me? “ Asked Jake 

“ I think I found out yesterday night and I didn’t know it was the ability , I thought it was a perfume scent or something like that “ I told them truthfully

  “ yeah finally, I am so proud of you but I am deeply sorry to cut the celebration short, we have five minutes before our first class and we don’t want to be late. Come now let’s hurry “ Jake said pulling both Cassy and I by our hands as we tagged along. Then that familiar smell in my room filled my nostrils, as my body was ignited in a rush of heat waves running through my body, like a burning sensation inside of me , the smell of Sandal wood and caramel mixed together filling the hallway and I felt very hot all of a sudden and my wolf Carly was uneasy, he was acting up and I seriously don’t know why and my body was insanely hot, really hot like I was literally dying to go hug who ever it is and surrendering my self  to the person completely  . Who could this be and what’s going on. What’s happening to me and then I heard carly’s Voice ‘ MATE ‘ and then ‘ MINE ‘
