Chapter 5: Tina Stirring Trouble

1908 Words
Sebastian’s POV Tristan looked the same way he did all those years ago. I know he is strong, but he is still lacking. He lets our parents control him too much, to the point that he can't even form his own opinion on people. “I didn’t know you were going to return, brother,” he said, approaching me. “You knew you had to inform me first.” Ah! That’s right, Tristan loves reminding me that he is the Alpha, not me, even though I am the eldest. I stepped closer and held out my hand for him to greet me. Once he did, I made sure my grip was extra tight so he remembered our strength difference. He winced; it was only a second, but he did, making me smirk. “And this is the Alpha? Pathetic.” “Azrael…” I scolded him. “We are taller and stronger, the true Alpha of this pack. It’s not my fault they can’t handle real power,” Azrael scoffed. I shook my head; he would never learn. “The council allowed my return, I had to hunt on my way back, which is why I didn’t tell anyone,” I explained. Tristan’s eyes darted to his parents, as if looking for advice. “Don’t worry, I only need to do that once or twice a month. Besides, I brought my people with me to keep me in check.” “Your people?” Ismael asked. Until I calm down, I won’t call him father. He disrespected my mate. I kept my mouth shut since he wasn’t Alpha, and I didn’t have to answer any of his questions. “Sebastian?” Tristan asked, and this time I looked at him with a serious expression. “They were appointed by the council to make sure I didn’t let my bloodlust control me. Besides, they are only five people, I’m sure the Alpha has enough space in his pack.” “No, in the pack house we don’t,” Tristan said, which I was expecting. “If you have a piece of land big enough for us to build a house, then we can live there,” they all noticed I said we, meaning I didn’t plan to live here. Of course, they couldn’t hide their feelings, and happiness could be seen in their faces. Well… at least my parents. Sebastian looks conflicted. Before I had to leave this pack, I had a good relationship with him. “We do,” Ismael quickly answered, since my brother didn’t. “When can you start?” “Today,” I informed him. “I have tents so they can sleep in them until they are done.” “And you?” Tristan asked. I gave him my most polite smile and even bowed slightly. “Of course, I’ll stay in my childhood home. I want to know my Alpha brother. Besides, today you will present your chosen Luna to the pack, and I want to meet my new sister-in-law.” ————————————————————— “Are you sure you are going to be fine? You will be very close to your mate,” my best friend Cam asked me. I sighed. He saw me at my worst and only tried to avoid a catastrophe. He knew how powerful and hard to control Azrael was. He didn’t need to worry, though. I knew how to behave myself, Aitana was my mate, and contrary to what everyone believed, she didn’t make Azrael lose control. If anything, she helped us. She made him more compliant. "Compliant my ass," He gritted out. Of course, he wouldn't admit it. “I’ll be fine,” I said, clasping his shoulder. “Besides, I can’t leave her alone. My brother lacks the balls to put everyone in their place, and from what I heard, he is even taking a chosen Luna.” “Damn, that must be harsh. She is going to feel everything,” Cam knew she was also Tristan’s mate. I came to him for advice. When I heard my brother reject our mate, I was ready to kill him. It was Cam the one who stopped me. “Exactly, so I want to be there for her.” Cam chuckled. “How are you going to do that, man?” He teased. “You will draw attention to yourself, and I doubt you will be able to escape the party.” I rolled my eyes. I have noticed some she-wolves trying to get my attention, but it is not something I can’t handle. If you put them in their place quickly, they stop bothering you. “I only need to wait for the right moment and slip away. It won’t be that hard.” Cam clicked his tongue and then looked behind me. He got closer and whispered. “If you get the flies to leave you, that is.” I turned around to see what he meant. A she-wolf I knew was standing outside our camp with two other friends. I really didn’t want to deal with her right now, but it seems I don’t have a choice. “Try to get the houses up fast, I will bring my mate when they are finished,” I told Cam. He nodded and turned around to give instructions to the rest. I took a deep breath to calm Azrael down and reminded him to play nice. It was our first day, and we couldn’t mess it up. Tina realized I was alone, so she approached me with her group of minions. “Sebastian,” she said, batting her eyelashes. Wasn’t she supposed to be my brother’s Luna? “Tina,” I replied with a clipped tone. She was not an ugly wolf, but if you compared her to my Aitana… There is no comparison. Aitana is beautiful inside and out. She is a very strong woman, who has sustained the bullying of this assholes because of her scar. I’ve seen it, and I think she should wear it proudly. She might not know how she got it, but every scar is a mark that proves how strong you are. I have a few of my own, and I wear them proudly. “Oh, are you going to be so rude to your future Luna?” She pouted as if she would gain some sympathy from me. “Not for long…” Azrael warned with a wicked smile. I had to keep from smiling myself. My wolf was right; she wouldn’t enjoy that position for long. “I talk to everyone the same way,” I stated blankly. Tina didn’t look satisfied with my answer. She scoffed, and her two friends got the hint that she wanted to be left alone. “Don’t leave,” I ordered Cam. I get the feeling she would either try or say something stupid. “Sure, Sebs, but I’ll hide,” he replied, and I silently thanked him. Tina took a step closer and put her finger on my chest. I immediately snatched her hand. “I don’t like to be touched,” I said darkly, dropping her hand to the side. “Ugh, fine,” she rolled her eyes and stomped her foot on the ground. “I wanted to see if you were like your brother, but you are the same asshole I met when we were kids.” I smirked. “And what made you think I changed?” I also ensured I used Azrael’s voice, which made Tina tremble. “Well, I-I have changed, I’m no longer a c-child,” she stuttered. I could practically smell her fear in the air. And my brother thought this weak beta would make a good mate. Pathetic. I bet all she knows is how to spread her legs. “You are not a child, that is true,” she smiled, thinking perhaps she was getting somewhere. “You are a slut, but for some reason my brother wants you,” her smile fell instantly. “You will not disrespect your—“ “My Luna?” I cut her off. “Tina, I’m an Alpha by blood, not even Tristan can order me around. What makes you think you can?” I stepped even closer, towering over her. She started shaking. “I-I’ll tell Tristan about this, he will k-know how much you disrespected his mate.” I gave her a sly smile. “Go ahead, and I will tell him how you wanted to throw yourself at me.” “He won’t believe you!” She screeched. Jeez. How does my brother put up with her? “Perhaps not, but are you willing to take the risk?” I clicked my tongue. "You see, Tina, I have nothing to lose. I am a cursed wolf, hated by many and feared by others. Even if I am thrown away, I can become a rogue and survive, but you?” I chuckled darkly. "You are weak; you wouldn’t last a day in the forest alone.” Tina gulped. She knew she couldn’t win. “Tristan wanted to see you,” she finally blurted out after a couple of minutes. I think she is trying to find a way out, but at least this way I can go to the pack house and see if a catch a delicious vanilla scent that I love. “Tell him I’ll be there in five,” I ordered Tina. This time she didn’t argued, she turned on her heel and run like her ass was on fire. Now, what do you want, little brother? “You are going now?” Cam asked as he got out from wherever he was hiding. “Of course I am,” I said. Aitana was there. “Besides, my brother is still Alpha.” Cam snorted. “And since when do you care about that? His command doesn’t work on you.” “I know, but he doesn’t. Nobody knows anything about me besides that I am a monster, and I want to keep it that way,” I told Cam. If I wanted Aitana to be safe, I had to take back the pack. “Are you going to tell her the truth?” Cam asked, but I haven’t answered this question yet. I couldn’t. “I’ll see you later. I’ll also make sure they bring you food, so don’t worry.” I decided it would be best to leave before Cam started asking more questions. Being tough was easier than revealing my deepest and darkest secrets and desires. Freaking Cam. I wanted to finish this meeting quickly, so I jogged to the packing house. Nothing had changed, so I found the office quickly. My brother was already there, alone, waiting for me. “Sebastian, thanks for coming so quickly,” he said, gesturing for me to sit down. I did it and crossed my arms over my chest. “No prob. What did you want to talk about?” I asked as if I had no idea what he wanted. Tristan’s dark brown eyes hardened. “You know what I want to talk about.” I gave him an innocent look, but didn’t say anything else. I wanted him to admit it. “We need to talk about Aitana.”
