Aitana’s POV
“What are you doing here?” Ismael asked in a not-so-kind tone while Marie stared at him like she had seen a ghost.
I couldn’t take my eyes off him. He was so… ripped. That black shirt of his looked like a second skin, ready to burst at any time.
He was definitely bigger than Tristan, buffer and rougher. That long, black, wavy hair fell almost to his shoulders, and it gave him a bad boy look.
His eyes were crimson, the same color as blood, and their intensity made a shiver run down my spine. The fact that he had black eyebrows and lashes only made his eyes pop even more.
He stepped into the room and even had to duck so his head wouldn’t hit the doorframe.
Moon Goddess… he is so damn sexy.
What?
The heck am I thinking?
“I didn’t tell you to come in,” Ismael barked, making the man look at him with a bored look.
“And when have I listened to you?” He asked with a sarcastic tone. “I’m older now, Father, and you are no longer Alpha.”
Ismael’s jaw clenched, clearly pissed off. “You are still—“
“Not welcomed in the pack?” He interrupted, taking another step. “If I remember correctly, I had to serve eight years, and I did,” serve? Was he in prison? “My brother took the Alpha position, thus I am no longer a risk. Wasn’t that the deal?” He got closer to his father and leaned, towering Alpha Ismael.
Goddess, what did he eat?
And why can’t I stop staring at him? All I can do is stare at his incredible physique and feel his dangerous aura enveloping me.
“Is your bloodlust in check?” Marie asked this time, and I saw the man’s eyes flicker for the first time. Since he came in, all I could sense was an aura of confidence and power. “That’s what I thought, Sebastian.”
Sebastian… that name, it seems fitting to such a sexy man.
“It is not a problem,” he stated, clearing his throat. “I only have to hunt once or twice a month.”
Ismael huffed. “Yeah, right, like that would be enough.”
Sebastian’s eyes hardened, and for the first time, they flickered to me, making my breath get caught in my throat.
Those red eyes, I was so captivated by them, but before he stared at my scar, I quickly lowered my face so my hair would cover it.
His parents seemed to notice me as well. “Why is this useless omega still here?” Ismael barked. “LEAVE AITANA!” He ordered using his Alpha command.
I couldn’t refuse this order, but I was not going to say “yes, Alpha” like another maid would.
I had to turn the other way around to leave since Sebastian was blocking the exit with his huge frame. However, as I left, I felt as if his eyes were still on me, but that couldn’t be.
I was horrendous, the ugliest woman in the pack.
He must not have seen my scar; that is the only explanation I have.

Sebastian’s POV
I haven’t returned to my pack in years, at least that is what my parents think.
Of course, I returned. How could I not when my mate was here?
I had to watch her from the shadows, making sure my younger brother didn’t do anything stupid. Although he had already rejected her, that rejection meant nothing.
For some reason, the bond hasn’t severed, and I think I am the cause.
Why did I return? Easy, I want my mate, but I need to do some… cleaning first.
I scented her the moment I stepped foot in my childhood home, the pack house. She smelled like vanilla ice cream with a hint of cocoa.
My favorite, and of course, my wolf howled like crazy.
You see, I’m not a common wolf; I’m not even like the rest of the Alphas. I was cursed when I was born since my mother gave birth to me during a blood moon, and I am considered what they call a blood Alpha.
The ruthless of them all, the ones who need blood and sacrifice to keep their beasts in check.
With that explained… I’m not the greatest person in the world, but for Aitana, I have changed. I can finally control that side of me.
“Can you?” He smirked.
My wolf’s name? Azrael, like the angel of death.
Fitting if you ask me.
“I do,” I said confidently.
He just chuckled and retreated to the back of my mind as he usually did. He is not the most… talkative wolf.
As I started getting closer to the living room, I heard my mate’s voice, which made me happy, and then my father’s, which made my smile instantly fall.
“Ohh, a hottie,” I heard someone murmur, but I didn’t pay attention.
If they are not Aitana, then I don’t care. She is the only woman I ever or will ever care about.
And goddess… she is also a beauty, and from what I can tell, sassy.
Perfect for me.
I’ve always looked at her from a distance, so I couldn’t wait to see her up close, to actually have her in the same room as me, to touch her beautiful skin and look at those big golden eyes.
“You will not attend the reunion, meaning you will not eat today, go to your room,” my father ordered, making me clench my fists.
Like hell she won’t. Now that I’ve returned, I will make sure she eats properly.
I’ve noticed how my mate is treated in this pack, and they should be thankful I learned how to control my beast; otherwise, they would all be dead by now.
My mate didn’t reply, which annoyed me. She shouldn’t take such a silly punishment; she should always keep her head high, and one day she will.
I had to do something, so I entered the room, greeting my mother.
My father could wait; I wanted to kill him anyway, so it was best if I didn’t address him first.
Of course, they didn’t welcome me with open arms. Quite the opposite, if I may add. My father clearly wanted to challenge me, and I would have gladly initiated the challenge if my mate weren’t here.
The first thing I saw before making my presence known was my mate, and she took my breath away.
I almost forgot why I came in the first place, but thankfully, my father didn’t take long before he opened his mouth to spout his nonsense.
I was replying to them, I knew that, but my mind and eyes kept drifting to the beautiful she-wolf who kept staring at me.
If we were alone…
“Mark her!” Azrael pushed, but I held him back.
“She is not even of age, you i***t,” I huffed, making him stop.
“My brother took the Alpha position, thus I am no longer a risk. Wasn’t that the deal?”
I got closer to my father and leaned in. Hasn’t the old man realized that I could easily kill him? I could snap his neck, and it would all be over.
Except… I would go to jail or have to become a rogue, thus losing my mate forever. Among other things, I have worked hard for. Everything I've done was for my mate; I couldn't let it all go to waste because I couldn't handle my temper.
“Is your bloodlust in check?” Mother asked, not because she cared for me, she never did, but because she wanted a reason for me to leave.
I lost my composure for a second; she had hit a nerve, and of course, she noticed.
“That’s what I thought, Sebastian.”
I couldn’t let my mate think I’m a monster; I had to make sure they understood I had conquered that desire to kill.
“It is not a problem,” I stated, clearing my throat, because my mate’s lust spiked for a second, and it was distracting me. “I only have to hunt once or twice a month.”
Of course, my father didn’t believe me, and had to make that stupid comment.
Doesn’t he realize there is someone else in the room?
“Yeah, right, like that would be enough.” He huffed, making Azrael mad.
It was the first time I had seen him get mad, and I knew how scary my aura could feel, so for a brief moment, I wanted to check on my mate.
My red eyes connected with her golden ones, and Goddess… she is even more gorgeous than I remembered and saw at first glance.
I wish I didn’t have to stop looking at her, but if I didn’t remove my gaze, my parents would—
“Why is this useless omega still here?” He barked, making my anger spike. “LEAVE AITANA!” He ordered using his Alpha command, meaning my poor mate couldn’t fight his order.
Aitana got out of the room using the other door, not the one I had come in from, disappointing me and my wolf. We were hoping she would brush past us, that would have calmed us down, but since she didn’t…
Once my mate was out of sight, I used my speed to grab Ismael by the throat and throw him across the room.
“Sebastian!” My mother screamed as she rushed to her pathetic mate. “What is your problem?!”
I shrugged. “Since father behaves like a brute, I thought I should do the same.”
My voice was calm; I didn’t show an ounce of my true feelings, something I had learned over the years.
“It seems they didn’t teach you a thing, you stupid brat!” This time it was my father.
Didn’t he learn?
“Do you want to see what I learned?” I gave them a side smile while I let Azrael partially out.
He could be… terrifying.
“What the hell is going on here?” Ah! Finally!
I turned around, ready to see the man who had hurt my mate the most, the one who would pay for all her tears and pain.
Eventually.
“Hello, brother.”
