“We are nearly there,” Connor announced as he glanced at his alpha. They had spent the afternoon in the countryside. Dustin seemed so much more relaxed now as he sat in the back of the tinted SUV. The time he spent with his sister, brother-in-law and nephew worked wonders for his stress levels. He sighed, wishing that he was able to stay longer there than in the city. He always felt suffocated.
“Why did humans feel it was necessary to get rid of all the wilderness and build these concrete buildings? Why couldn’t they just live together with nature, you know, like the way we have learned to at home.”
“Greed, maybe,” Connor replied with a shrug. “They wanted the space, they took it. No, actually they needed the space. They are multiplying like crazy!”
