I could see the surprised in Dante’s eyes when he realized that I had managed to do what I had said that I was going to do. He was even more surprised to see that it had worked and with no magic involved. I may not have gotten all the wolves to come with me but what I came with was enough for us to gain an upper hand. The wolves that had remained behind were the ones that were still loyal to Steven despite the fact that he was bringing them here to die like animals. The wolves that I had come with were wolves that were hungry for order and a home for themselves. They had realized that what Lucas offered them wasn’t a home and there wasn’t order or safety in that system. Now that Lucas was gone, they were exposed and could be killed or used by anyone who pleased.
