I don’t know how long I sat on the floor after the bath knees pulled to my chest, arms wrapped around myself like I was trying to keep my soul from spilling out of my body. The omega had brought me a fresh nightdress, something soft and pale, something that would have made me feel delicate once. Now it just made me feel exposed. Fragile.
