CAMILLE'S POV The chill of the dungeon was a biting reminder of my predicament, but I’d faced worse. The shackles were enchanted, of course. Aster made sure of that. Yet, even the strongest chains can’t bind what isn’t real. And that was my advantage. The moment I regained consciousness and realized I’d been abducted, my mind and body sprang into action before they could fasten the shackles on me. I disoriented the two burly men who were about to drag me to the dungeon and swiftly cast an illusion, swapping my identity with one of the guards. As a result, the shackles ended up on his wrists instead of mine. Disguised as the guard, I followed them into the dungeon, keeping my spell steady.
