It has been six months since Ruby was born. She is growing into a beautiful little girl with tuft of my red hair. Right now, she has blue eyes, but I suspect they will turn green like mine. Holden thinks she looks mostly like me, but I swear she has his smile and nose.
“Hi, sweetheart,” I say as I look over at her. I am sitting in my newly decorated office working on some paperwork.
Life at Eagle Creek has mostly gotten back to normal. We have a new gamma that Beau sent to us. So far, he is working out well and I think Holden quite likes him. They spend their free time playing video games with Eddie.
A little babble comes from the bassinet, and I look over to see Ruby chewing on her toes with grin on her cute face.
“Look at you,” I giggle. “Did you find your toes?” I tickle
