Epilogue
Kade Vaughn sits up on his bed with a scream from another nightmare. He looks around in the darkness as his heart pounds against his chest. His inner wolf hums with comfort as he throws back the covers and stands up.
He paces his room for a few minutes before going outside for fresh air. Kade pulls on a pair of shorts and a T-shirt. He knows he’s not supposed to go out alone after midnight, but that isn’t stopping him.
“What are you doing, Kade?” His six-year-old sister Ruby asks as he steps into the hallway.
“Go back to bed, Ruby,” Kade snorts as their little brother Noah crawls out of his room. “Seriously?” He huffs. “Both of you go to bed,” He whisper yells and moves down the hall.
