(Jaxon) I passed a few guys from the team and nodded at them. One of them tried to pull me into another round at the bar, but I waved him off. I didn’t need another drink. Then someone stepped in front of me out of nowhere, blocking my path. “Hey,” she said, smiling. Her hair was down, and she had a BU jacket on. I didn’t know her name, but I’d seen her around campus before. “Hey,” I said, trying to step around her. She moved too. “You were amazing tonight.” “Thanks.” I didn’t slow down. I stepped again. She moved again. “Are you always that fast on the ice?” I gave a small smile. “I guess.” “Can I get you a drink?” she asked. I shook my head. “I’m good.
