I woke up with Kendall’s leg thrown across me and her arm squished under my back like she forgot how to sleep like a normal person. Her hair was in my face and her breath tickled my neck. I didn’t move though. I liked waking up like this. It was better than waking up alone.
She stirred a little, then mumbled something I couldn’t understand.
“Morning, starfish,” I said, my voice still low from sleep.
She groaned. “Don’t start.”
“You’re literally spread across the whole bed. My back’s numb, Kendall. I think you paralyzed me.”
