(Chase) I woke up later than I should’ve. Didn’t care. Didn’t set an alarm either. Took a shower, threw on some clothes, grabbed my bag. No breakfast. It's a good thing I lived alone because I had nothing to say to anyone. When I arrived at Frost Ridge I walked straight to class with my hood up. The lecture was long. I didn’t write anything down. I sat in the back, watching the clock. My knee kept bouncing. Every time the professor said something dumb, I rolled my eyes and looked somewhere else. I couldn’t focus. My mind kept drifting to the team. I knew I had to show up today. Coach made that clear. Even if I'm benched, I had to show up and support the team. After class, I headed to the rink.
