I didn’t feel like doing much. I stayed in my room for most of the day, laying around, thinking about how everything went to s**t recently for me. The team lost, Coach benched me, Brad acted like a damn fool, and Hale’s name was still being thrown around like he was some kind of hero.
I got up and grabbed my phone. There was still nothing from anyone. No texts. No missed calls. Just me. Typical.
I opened my contacts and scrolled until I saw Emma’s name. I tapped on it and waited while it rang.
