I inhaled a lung full of fresh air as Aurelia, and I sat at the edge of the dock on our private lake with our fishing rods cast. It was a beautiful sunny day. The birds were chirping, and the water shone from the sun's reflection.
Our feet dangled in the water while we waited for the fish to take the bait.
Goddess, I had missed this. When I was on my mission for the past few years, I had no free time to do stuff like this. And then, once I returned, it seemed like one bad thing after the next happened, preventing me from having a day to relax.
Sharing this moment with Aurelia was just icing on the cake. I couldn't ask for a better person to be sitting next to me.
"It's so beautiful out here. I could get used to this," Aurelia said on an exhale, mirroring my thoughts.
