I was surprised at how quickly Elaina settled in with us, she was already calling us mummy and daddy, and she felt safe with us which is why she wanted to sleep beside us on her first night here. She had also taken to my parents straight away. It was nice to see.
I have already fallen in love with her and think of her as my daughter, when she took my hand the first time she stole my heart along with it. We even explained that she would be a big sister, and she seemed excited about it.
