She watched the sun come up and, as tired as she was, she couldn’t sleep. The nurses came in and checked her surgical wound. She had an incision across her lower abdomen. “That will scar if your wolf doesn’t heal you,” Carlos told her on his rounds. He’d also checked it, but she knew it was him just checking to see if her wolf was awake.
“She’s not going to heal it, can’t.” Nora stated, “It’ll just be a permanent reminder is all.” she muttered, one of her life inside this pack to go with the scars on her feet and inside of her hands, “I want to go back to my room.” She stated she didn’t want to be in this room, but didn’t really have the energy or strength to get out of the bed and move to another ward like she had last time.
