Parker’s POV
Colton wanted to discuss Nolan, warning me that he felt that Nolan was spiraling. I agree, he was. I would be lying if I said I wasn’t scared. I was terrified, actually, now that I was sure he had killed Brandie. Even more so without Caden here. He helps me stay calm. His steady strength was the only thing that was keeping me from spiraling.
“You know he’s probably going to call you tonight, or tomorrow, Parker. You didn’t reply to his texts, and he’s not a patient man. I was going to stay here tonight until he called. I wanted to record it for you, like Brooks recorded that first call. That way, I can testify about it as a witness. Caden was right, the P.I. will be staking out Brooks’ place, not this house.
