Chapter 30
Caden’s POV
No one noticed when we entered. They were all watching an argument going on near a booth. I went to step forward to stand up for my grandmother, when my mother grabbed my wrist and shook her head at me. I was surprised to see Ginger standing there. What was she doing here? I had a bad feeling Cassidy had overheard our conversation last night after I read him his story.
He was very excited to see Parker today. He was ready to go. He had put the items he picked out for Parker in a gift bag. My mother helped him, and it looked really nice. He couldn’t wait to give it to her. If she told Ginger that Parker was going to be here, that means that Ginger came here spoiling for a fight. Mom was still not speaking to Cassidy, but I am sure that was about to change tonight.
