Parker’s POV
I had fun at the park. Being around Caleb makes me forget everything that’s going on in my life, at least for a little while. His excitement is contagious. He showed me all of his favorite spots. Starting with the playground. He showed me where the frogs hide near the small pond. Then he pointed out his favorite tree. The fact that he wanted to share what he loved with me was sweet. It also reminded me to slow down and find joy in the small joys in life.
We were walking back from the small pond when he suddenly asked. “Do you like muffins or cookies?”
“I like them both,” I replied before asking, “Do you like them ?”
“Blueberry muffins and chocolate chip cookies are my favorites,” he responded with a smile.
