Seeing my brother standing so close to Parker was making my blood boil. She just got back here. How are they already so close? I couldn’t stop thinking about what they could possibly be talking about when Caleb called out,” I’m done.”
His face was clean, but his hands were covered in sugar. I held him up at the sink and let him wash his hands. “Is Parker ready to play now?” he asked.
I took that as my cue to carry him over to the door to watch them. Colton is aware that Caleb really likes Parker. I wasn’t above using my son to get Colton to understand that he needed to leave. It was time for their playdate. He knew the moment I walked up to the door, but he didn’t acknowledge me for almost two minutes. When he did look at us, I saw the amusement on his face.
