Parker’s POV
I had texted Colton right after I called dispatch. I hadn’t checked my phone since then, but he had gotten here really quick. I thought that when the officer called clear, they would notify Colton as well. I guess they didn’t.
I let him in, and the look he was giving Caden was amused. I hadn’t been talking to Caden before last Tuesday, but we had called a truce. I was willing to give him a second chance, as he seemed to want it. I guess he hadn't told his brother that we were now on friendly terms.
“I didn’t realize they were coming over today. I just ran and made the calls. I'm sorry. I thought they would notify you that it had been a false alarm,” I told Colton.
“No, they told me. It was a good practice run. I’m glad that everything went well,” he replied
