Parker’s POV
After spending Tuesday with the Boones, the rest of my week was very busy. I got caught up with necessary meetings via video on Wednesday. My assistant, Adian James, formerly my father’s trusted assistant, was a huge help. I didn’t want people to know what was actually going on, just that I wasn’t ready to return to the company just yet. The employees all knew how close my family was, how much we loved each other. Adian explained that I would be working online for the foreseeable future.
I had surprise visitors on Thursday. Della called me from the gate to get the code to enter. She and Caleb had brought me some cookies and a few muffins. Caleb carried the bag up the steps to hand it to me.
“Meme and I made these for you,” he proudly advised.
