Parker’s POV
Caden’s hand clutched mine as if he was scared that if he let go, I would leave. I thought it was a great idea for Colton to stay with me, but Caden made a good point. Colton could be called away at any time.
“But you need to be with Caleb. You’re his father. He needs you,” I argued.
“Caleb sleeps well. He doesn’t get up for water unless he’s sick. I can get a monitor for my parents. Caleb is my priority, but this won’t be forever. Just until Nolan is caught. Plus, I’m an excellent shot. I can keep you just as safe as Colton can,” I stated.
