It took two more days to reach the new hideout. Bliss healed her bruises as much as she could before the beginning of each long ride, not wanting to slow them down. She could sense Garrett’s anger and anxiety, but she did not know how to comfort him. All she knew is that the moment she left his sight it became worse. The times she went to relieve herself, his anxiety would rise until she came into his line of vision again. While in the saddle he held her close, Bliss calming him by reaching for his hand and gently stroking his palm with her thumb. She knew he was under a lot of pressure.
