Garrett sat down across from Levi at a table in the corner of the dinning hall. The moment he settled onto the bench a maid came over with a mug full of ale and a bowl of what looked to be rabbit stew.
“Enjoy.” she said simply before heading over to another table of men who looked to be merchants.
Garrett dug into the stew and took a few gulps of ale, not having eaten since the day before. He planned to eat in peace and then head upstairs and fall asleep holding Bliss and their baby as soon as he could, but Levi had other plans.
