RAYMOND "Hey! There he is!" Morgan clapped me on the back, "Who is ready for the birthday cake?" My friends, although they were already stuffed full of hotdogs and hamburgers, let out a hoot of excitement, and my mom brought out the cake. My mom wasn't the best baker in the world, so she had gone out and bought a ready-made cake from the grocery store. I didn't mind, I knew she bought it with love. They had piped "Happy Birthday Raymond" in bright blue frosting, and 18 candles had been pushed onto the top. For some random reason, there was one large candle shaped like a cactus.
