“Sam, please,” Kendrick begged Samantha to come with him.
Samantha then stood up quietly and walked ahead of Kendrick. He followed her but she remained quiet. She was really upset and she was afraid that the moment she opened her mouth, unnecessary words might come out, so she chose to be silent. They were about to go upstairs when they met Althea and the helper. Althea has already changed and is noticeably fine, like there was nothing that happened some time ago. Samantha just walked past her. Ignored her presence like she's not existing.
“Ken…” Althea held Kendrick's arm when he walked past her.
Samantha halted as she stepped on the stairs and turned around to look at Kendrick. Their eyes meet and that's the only moment Kendrick yanks Althea's hand and follows her as she continues
