Bree woke up with a sour taste in her mouth. Her forehead creased from the sudden surge of pain in her head. She was still half asleep.
She groaned and tried to open her eyes. When she couldn't open them, she felt around the empty space next to her. The soft and cold mattress felt good on her warm palms. Bree's brow furrowed even more, she was wondering why her bed was so big. Her bed wasn't as wide as this one. And the mattress was so soft, her mattress wasn't that soft. It was thin and about to break.
Realization dawned on her. She wasn't in her own bed.
