Shepherd and I drive to my pack lands. It feels like forever since I’ve been home. I wonder how everyone has been. I think I’m getting a bit nervous.
“Are you okay?” Shepard asks me.
“Yeah, I guess I’m a little nervous. It’s been a while since I’ve been home. Honestly, I feel like someone returning home after losing a battle. I know I have to tell everyone what’s been going on. I just don’t want them to look at me like I’m pitiful or weak. I was always one of the better fighters in my pack. But when I was with Dawson, the idea of hurting him and fighting back never even crossed my mind. It felt like he had such control over me.
