Since Mara heard Antelope announce his judgement on her situation, she had been closed off. She had gone to her office to ruminate over Antelope’s words, “Mara, must die!” A part of her wondered if it really was possible for love to die like that. If love could die, then was it really love? She had all sorts of questions and above all, Mara had never felt so betrayed in all her life. Her heart was aching. She asked herself why her heart would even bother. As far as she knew, she did not care for Antelope and she thought she did not mind dying. But then who would’ve known that the one who claimed to loved her more than anyone else, would be the one to kill her?
