Antelope could almost not believe what his ears had just heard from Mara. It was shocking how they had put up with a lot, only for the solution to turn out to be that easy. But was it really easy?
Mara had always been Antelope’s first love. His passion grew even bigger since they had never salvaged what he felt. His love was rejected long ago. He had never gotten over her since then. Mara had revealed that the only way they could all be free, they would have to take her life. Antelope could feel himself torn apart. He was still doubtful of the choice he would make.
His knees were very weak. It was luck that he managed to make it to the table to join the others. At the empty dining table sat Lady Mare, Francina and the five gentlemen. They would discuss a way moving forward.
