Schemes And Tricks Backfires

"I beg your pardon." Auriane calmly asked without batting an eye at the obviously furious Nelly who was glaring dagger at her. Unfazed by the immature glare in Nelly's eyes Auriane simply gave a nonchalant attention, seemingly not bothered by her berating. Nelly was exactly the same as in her memories, immature, impulsive and short tempered. These were all the qualities of the pretty bimbo that gave her a hard time in her past life and caused her to be shot in a bad side and shunned by others. She remembered she had always cursed others for shunning her and letting Nelly off all the time, little had he understood why. But today she finally understood why, Nelly might look like a sort of bimbo or rather she was actually a bimbo, but infact she simply exuded the aura of a mere six year kid. Responding to her provocations and fighting with her wasn't different from an adult bullying an elementary students. No one would blame the elementary student for being rude, but they would surely blame the adult for being too much and bullying a poor kid. Nelly was indeed immature, but she didn't give anyone the impression of being retarded, she hard charms and carried with her an innocent vibe, cute and Jovial. All these qualities reminded Auriane of Stacey's bubbling personality which was cute and Jovial as well. But...compared to Stacey, Auriane found Nelly to be stupid and brainless. Not someone with whom she should waste her time. She only now realized how stupid she had been in the past to have fought with the brainless missy. "You heard me right, Angel was just trying to show you some concern, did you have to rudely shun her the way you did?", Nelly sneered and looked at Auriane before continuing. "Now I understand why people say you're arrogant and rude. It turns out to be true, indeed." Feeling a complete head ache, Auriane massaged her brows with a frown. Though she wasn't in the mood to tackle with Nelly, she believed the senseless missy didn't intend to let her off. "Miss. Pruuse, let me tell you a story." Nelly turned red in rage, not only did Auriane ignore her, but she decided to brush off her words with a story. "Who wants to listen to your stinky story!" Ignoring her once again, Auriane continued. "A little girl name polite came back from school, excited due to the fact that she had received an A plus in school. It was her happiest day because she came upon an A plus for the first time, with highest scores. Greatly overjoyed she danced back home with a smile and upon arriving home, she discovered that her parents had visitors. She greeted her parents and rushed to hand her victorious score over to them, happily recounting her events of the day to them without taking into consideration the visitors." "She expected her parents to be happy alongside with her, however they frowned even when looking at her as a mere disgrace...." Auriane paused and walked towards Nelly with neither slow nor hurried steps. She stood right in front of Nelly and continued. "Tell me, Miss Pruuse, why do you think little polite's parents were unhappy with her even when she got high scores at school. And according to you, do you think her parents attitude was bad or good towards little polite?" Completely taken aback that Auriane had asked her a question after recounting her story, Nelly was displeased. Without even thinking she yelled at Auriane. "What has your stinky story got to do with me and why should I answer your question?" Auriane wasn't surprised by Nelly's reaction. As if she had expected it, she nonchalantly replied. "If that's the case, Miss Pruuse has no right to ask me why I didn't respond to Angel earlier." "You..." "That's enough Nelly!", Kevin suddenly intervened, feeling that his sister was getting more and more unreasonable. It wasn't difficult to guess the purpose of Auriane's story and the question that came after. The story about little polite simply referred to the fact that she was just being polite by greeting everyone present before engaging into a discussion with Angel. But if she had responded to Angel and failed to greet the guest, then she would have been considered to be impolite. So being the case, Nelly was just being unreasonable by berating her. Auriane was simply trying to give her some face by not directly giving her a reply but rather speaking through a story. ' Impressive indeed.' Kevin thought to himself "I'm sorry third miss White, my sister is immature, so she scolded you, please accept my apology on her behalf." Before Auriane could give a reply, Nelly chimed in. "Brother, how can you say that, this girl was being rude to sister Angel. Who is she for you to apologize to her, she should be the one apologizing to sister Angel!" "Shut up Nelly, not only did you not realize that you're wrong, but you're even embarrassing yourself, now get back to your sit." Mrs. Elgar said coldly, feeling ashamed at her own daughter who was brainless compared to Auriane. The girl was calm and well composed even when she was being insulted. She didn't jump into an argument with Nelly nor did she blame her, but she simply tried to correct Nelly, while trying to give her some face. The more she looked at Auriane, the more impressed she was. Realizing that she was at the losing end and Mrs Elgar's impression over Auriane was getting better, Angel bit her lips in frustrating. She initially wanted to cause Mrs Elgar and others to have a bad impression of Auriane before school resumption, by causing her to ignore them, after all, no one would blame her for interrupting. She was merely being concerned and if Auriane took the wrong step, it wasn't her fault. Her plans was just going to aid an easy upscale of her other schemes. But she didn't expect that her plan was foiled at the instant Auriane ignored her, a stark contrast to the girl who was at her beck and call. However, there was no way Angel could just sit still without reacting, so she rushed forward and tucked at Auriane. "Auriane, please don't be mad at little Nelly. It was all my fault, you left the house so early and... Angel bit her lips, pausing for a while to process that words that seemed to be difficult for her to give out. Then she continued with a grave expression. "...we didn't get to meet again. I was simply anxious when I saw you arrive late. Ignoring the etiquette, I reacted out of concern, sorry sister, I embarrassed myself." Angel said with blurry eyes, feeling extremely sad. She bit her lips, causing it to turn red, she looked pathetic and would easily evoke anyone's pity. Anyone who had thought that she was unreasonable suddenly found her actions to be unreasonable. And as expected, Auriane was seen as the bad. After all, a girl who left the house early in the morning and only came at night could easily be considered as the bad guy. This time Angel played her role perfectly well, Auriane really wanted to clap for her. With just few words she had turned the tables and caused everyone to look at her with a bad impression and Nelly's rude respond was rendered reasonable, while she was unreasonable. Realizing that everyone had the reaction she had expected, Angel turned towards Auriane in tears. "Sis, I'm really sorry I ..." "What are you talking about...?", Auriane suddenly replied with a smile, wiping the tears that welled up from her pretty coffee brown eyes. Auriane smiled and continued. "I left with sister Nora this morning to help her move into her new house, I asked you to come with me in order to reduce the load of work, but you said you were too busy to help. Of course I left alone and only came back now. Nora is alone and she only has me, yet I returned here to fulfill my filial piety. After all, I'm but a teenager, right sis." Angel grimaced, suddenly feeling that it would be more difficult to deal with Auriane than she had expected. Auriane was able to trace the hidden meaning behind her words and reply gracefully without batting an eye if it had been in the past her plans would definitely have worked. However, she forgot that she wasn't dealing with the old Auriane. Although her words simply said the truth, the fact that she simply didn't divulge the other facts would easily make others misunderstand. That was exactly what she wanted, after all, she simply said the truth, though she hid some. But her plans were foiled and Auriane even made her look bad in front of others, but she couldn't find a reason to refute. After all, she indeed refused to follow her this morning. If she rushed to explain, it would only reveal her bad intentions, but how could she just resign like that?
