Clueless about the the almost sensual dream, Auriane couldn't help but feel ill at ease, not because she was scared of her dreams about that man, but because of her relaxed mind at the thought of it. Clueless about the man and why she was so much embroiled to him, she should normally have an ill feeling of disgust for almost getting towards an almost sensual dream with a stranger, yet not being all disgusted. It was more like she was looking forward to meeting the pretty stranger once again in her dream or more in reality. However, she couldn't tell if his image was a simple holographic formation that subconsciously kept appearing in her dream. But even so, she should at least be aware of who the pretty stranger was. Though she racked her brain so many times, she hadn't been able to tell who the dark blue eye hunk was. She clearly recalled that in her previous life she was too emerged in her research and helping Angel in her career that she didn't have time for relationships. Even after she became a fugitive, though she had met many handsome and gentle men, she was too preoccupied about her life to let her thoughts run wild, so she was basically oblivious about relationships. Perhaps she also grew resistant towards the opposite s*x due to the fact that Angel turned her into a lab rat. Giving an opportunity for the obsessed scientist to take advantage of her body, though they never going beyond touching and injecting her with several chemical fluids, she still felt disgusted and resistant towards the opposite s*x. Perhaps, she was also a little resistant towards girls, but it could be remedied with time, because she already not so resistant towards Stacey and Jessica. Nevertheless, that wasn't her actual preoccupation at that moment, she still had to resolve the case of her almost sensual dream, she needed to understand why the man in her dream gave her a sense of familiarity and warmth, despite being foreign to her. She needed to understand why she felt secured, calm and assured in her dream towards an unfamiliar, yet familiar man. Regardless of the efforts she placed to reject the warm feeling his gentleness gave her, she still felt that she couldn't escape from it. It was as if she had a closely linked fate with the dream. But how? It was impossible to actually pinpoint a reason behind her frequent dreams with a charming stranger. Besides, a stranger whom she hadn't met in her previous life either. Strange indeed, but she knew it was needless to keep racking her brain for an answer, so she could only keep the thoughts in the back of her mind for the moment, lest she got too distracted. "....riane, Auriane..." Finally snapping out of her thoughts, Auriane realized that she had spaced out for too long, causing a sense of panic in Nora who had been trying to draw her attention. Not only her, but Serge and Stacey seemed to be worried as well. Not expected to see such a reaction in their eyes, Auriane was quite surprised, yet unfazed. She wasn't someone who was easily touched by a bit of affection others tended to show her. Because she had been through a lot of emotional trauma, her feelings had become a hard to attain. Though Stacey and Serge seemed to be kind, she still felt the need to observe them more, but she wouldn't reject them either. She had already guessed that they were the clingy type and she would meet them frequently in the future, but she hadn't expected to meet them at the early hours of the previous day after separating with them. Though they came two hours after her, it was still considered to be quite early, considering that they didn't live quite near. They even brought some few necessities like curtains, porcelain plates, cups, spoons and few things that Nora would need in the kitchen and for her daily use. According to what they said, it was an idea of Mrs. Rin as a thank you gift towards Nora for taking care of her in the past without asking for a return. Feeling touched Nora decided to pay a visit to Mrs Rin in the future to thank her properly. Auriane also felt that she should also thank Mrs. Rin, after all, her gesture only meant how sincere she was towards her sister. Serge and Stacey were also to be thanked, so she decided not to be too resistant towards them anymore. And as for adding them in her friend's list, maybe not. "You've been quiet for a while now, did you get troubled by the White's." Nora asked, feeling that could be the only reason why Auriane would be feeling listless. After all, she had lived with the White's and knew what kind of people they were. She knew that Auriane didn't have an easy life with them in the past, though being at their beck and call. Now that she was resistant and recalcitrant towards them, she felt that Auriane wouldn't have it easy with them. So she couldn't help but being worried about them. "Don't hide anything from me, though I might not be able to pull you out of their claws, we can find a solution together." "Yeah, you got to tell us if they hurt you. Those people are so heartless, you're barely thirteen but you have to go through so much. But there's no need to carry the burden by yourself, we'll definitely try to help." Stacey chimed in, feeling that Auriane was too pitiful. She was just thirteen, but she had to fight against sly adults like her step mother and even her father didn't spare. Living in such a family, one can tend to fall into trauma, yet Auriane could still keep her calm. Though she was a year older than Auriane, she felt that if she was in Auriane's shoes, she would have already been traumatized to death. Just how could Auriane still keep such calm in such a situation. She was as still as clear water, yet mysterious as as legend. Her jade like body seemed to glow and glowed more through the slight sun penetrating in the house. Her ever green eyes were as deep as water, seeming to carry a whole green vegetation, representing life itself. Though she was skinny and looked rather frail, she was still able to exude a cold and domineering aura which no adult could compare. Besides, Stacey doubted anyone could actually compare to her beauty and resplendence. Still, it still couldn't be change the fact that she was merely thirteen. Unaware of the thoughts that ran through Stacey's mind, Auriane merely guessed they were all being concerned about her after watching her confront her Alfred and Stella in order to save Nora. Anyone who witnessed such a scene wouldn't doubt the kind of relationship with her so called family. Outsiders may still have some doubts, but not people who had witnessed the conflict. But Auriane didn't want to trouble them with her problems, especially Nora, she she simply rubbed her nose sheepishly in attempt to conceal the conflict she had as soon as she returned home. She thought there was no reason to trouble them, so she said . "There's no need to bother about me, Stella had achieved her goal to have you out of the house. She wouldn't bother about me." At least for the moment. Nora looked at Auriane suspiciously, feeling that she wasn't lying but deliberately concealed the truth. But she didn't want to prove further either, after all, she knew that Auriane was quite sensible. Even if she still felt ill at ease, she could only conceal her displeasure and helplessness. Right now there was nothing she could actually do to remedy the situation. She might have already turned legal a few months ago, but she was still unable to hold any power. She wasn't even strong enough to protect herself and her foetus, so how could she protect Auriane who had proven to be stronger than her. Even though she had already moved out of the White and was allocated in her personal space, her fate was still in control of others. And as long as her fate was controlled, it would be impossible to protect those whom she treasured, so she could only strive to grow more powerful. "So what are your future plans?" Nora snapped out of trance to realize that Auriane was quick to change the topic, but she didn't pursue the matter and simply asked. "What do you mean?" "Sis, you can't be serious, as an independent person, you ought to have thought of the future. Though the villagers are quite kind to gift you some groceries and even house necessities. You can't be dependent on them all your life, besides, you won't be alone for long." Auriane shifted her gaze towards Nora's flat stomach, which finally got Nora to understand what she was at. It was indeed true that she couldn't depend on others to grow anymore. As a soon to be mother, she has to stabilize herself financially. As Alfred had said before sending her away, she needed to fend for herself. It was the big deal of becoming independent with a huge responsibility. Nora sighed helplessly, as the thoughts had almost crossed her mind. "What should else can I do, finding a part time job is not easy in this little village and the pay isn't enough either. Besides, my savings would barely hold me for a month or less." Stacey thought about it and found the situation to be quite tricky as well. She even thought of asking her aunt to help but her aunt also had a hard time at her cafe and wouldn't have enough fund to pay more employees either, besides the laborious work in the cafe wasn't fit for a pregnant woman either. A bulb suddenly lit above Stacey's head and she was exclaimed. "How about this, the moon cakes you made today were quite good, aunty holds a cafe so you can make more and she'll help you sell them. Aunt gets new deserts for her cafe, while you gain as well. It's a win win situation right." Extremely thrilled by the idea, Nora thought it was quite feasible as well. Though she couldn't be certain that her culinary skills in making moon cakes were quite comparable to that of a chef, she was proud of it, as she had many times been praised. "I guess it's feasible." "Then I'll talk to my mother about it, I believe she'll be willing." Serge suggested, feeling satisfied to finally be of help. However, their joy and anxiousness was suddenly killed by Auriane's nonchalant respond. "It won't do." ........ ....
