Nevertheless, she had already experienced the scary strategies of Angel White, but the Angel White at this moment was still a young teenager who wasn't fully grown up yet, so her schemes might be a little limited and premature though ruthless.
However, they weren't less poisonous than that of venous snakes that just hatched from their eggs. That's just how scary the young Angel White was, her poisonous glands penetrated one's veins, piercing their blood vessels and corroding their body until nothing was left of them.
She might be silent and seem unbothered by the events happening around her, but it didn't mean she was blind or uninterested. Angel White was rather good at borrowing knives to hack and break others. She obviously won't dirty her hands to reach her objectives, consequently, she could still maintain her dainty and pure image of the white flower which was quite advantageous to her.
So everyone viewed her as such, but Auriane's eyes turned cold at the facade and image Angel White had maintained over the years, while making other's life miserable. Her past self was an evidence of just how perverted Angel White was.
The thoughts of her past life caused Auriane's eyes to be cold and glacial, but she was able to hide it as fast as it appeared, lest Nora realized it.
"I still have things to attend to, so I'll be leaving."
Auriane stood up from her sit and carried the empty glass to the kitchen, while Nora simply followed suite without saying much.
"Would you come again tomorrow?"
Auriane paused at Nora's question and after thinking for a short while she gave her reply.
"No, I'll be busy in the upcoming days." She had been coming to visit Nora to help her settle down and now that Nora had settled down she needed to attend to other important matters that had been left stagnant. Besides, it's been a while since she last visited Mama Ben and tutored Jessica Ahnsen.
She would need to go there tomorrow and check on the assignments she had left behind for her, these few days should probably have been enough for her to work on it. She even guessed Jessica might have already been through with it, after all, it wasn't that much, no?
.... ~*~ .....
Atchoum!
In a certain tree house, Jessica Ahnsen who had tied her short hair into a messy bun was busy scribbling with a pen, papers scattered on her study table. She was rather concentrated with her work, but when she reached a certain point she screamed with the urge of tearing the pieces of papers into shreds, yet she held back the desire to do so.
"Argh, damn Auriane, if you wanted to take some few days off, did you have leave so much work, when am I supposed to finish this?"
She had been working on these assignments for so many hours without rest... ok she did rested for a while, trained and did several others of her daily routine. Still, she vigorously worked on her assignments, yet the questions seems to be endless.
If it had only been math, perhaps she could complain that she didn't understand this or that and leave it be, but Auriane also pin pointed some questions out of her books, giving her no choice but to read in order to get an answer.
' This girl was a demoness!'
Still, no matter how unsatisfied and unwilling she felt, she didn't dare slack off and continued to work diligently as if a certain force was pushing her to work hard. Perhaps she had more reasons to work on her IQ, with Auriane as a role model, she couldn't be left behind.
The girl seemed to be a whole bag of bones, her figure was so petite that it wouldn't take much effort to crush her, yet she was unbeatable.
Whether it was her IQ,or strength and the ability to release a domineering aura, there was definitely nothing to make her back down.
As Jessica Ahnsen recalled Nora's pregnancy scandal and how Auriane dealt with her sister's marriage and fake father of her child, She felt that she was indeed too weak and always let others misunderstand her, therefore trampling on her like mere dirt.
' Physical strength is not all it takes to pull down your enemies, but the real strength is here, in your head.'
When Jessica recalled those words, she indeed felt that was the truth, so what if she had the strength, she could only end up as a Canon fodder. If she could have made use of her head in the past, would those weak girls have slandered and framed her in such way that she had no way out but getting herself expelled.
No!
It definitely couldn't be repeated, she would let those girls taste their own medicine. Just wait, when she increases her IQ, she would deal with them courteously and legally.
With that, Jessica resumed with her studies and immersed herself with her studies, impressing Mama Ben who was standing by the door, observing Jessica without a word.
' It was definitely a good idea to let the little girl take her in hand.'
Mama Ben nodded in satisfaction before carefully closing the door of Jessica's room and walked back to the living room to meet the petite frame who had just finished brewing a cup of tea.
"You came here earlier than expected, has everything been settled with your sister?"
"Partly settled.", Auriane replied nonchalantly before taking a sip of her tea. She rushed here as soon she left Nora. At first she didn't intend to come here, but changed her mind out of a sudden when she thought of Lucien.
By this time he must have settled the problem with those gangsters and probably received the compensation from the police. It might take him a few more days to consider coming back to her, but she couldn't just sit and wait for his arrival, right.
After the results of the college entrance exams would be out, she might be too busy to take care of him, so she needed to prepare in advance. She believed that with her help, she can change Lucien's unlucky fate and replace it with a better one.
The reason why Lucien became what he was in her previous life was largely related to Catherine's death, but now that she saved Catherine, it should save another trouble and trauma of his life.
"You didn't come for Jessica.", Mama Ben replied after taking a sip of her tea.
"She's doing just fine by herself, I just brought more assignments over and some materials I prepared. Jessica might be stupid at times, but she's not dumb, so I'm not worried."
Mama Ben picked up the book pile of books that had been kept on the table. She flipped through the pages and was quite impressed by the little girl's handwriting, which looked like it had been typed out of the computer and printed. What impressed her more where the notes she had made, simple and concise to help a beginner.
When Auriane had praised Jessica just now, she didn't really agree but didn't comment either, but it is also true that Jessica wasn't completely dumb, she was just a slow learner. However, with Auriane's notes, she seems to be progressing rather fast.
"It must have taken you a lot of time."
"Not that much.", Auriane replied as a matter of fact.
"Tell me little girl, you seem to be troubled, is it the reason of your visit today?"
Auriane wasn't surprised that Mama Ben could see through her, after all, she had never underestimated.
"I indeed need your help with something."
"I need your help to cure a tricky poison."
Mama paused for a while, as if contemplating on what to say.
"Then it must be tricky, if a little doctor like you can't do anything about it."
Once again Auriane had no change of expression, she didn't deny it and continued.
"Your mastery of poisonons are far beyond human knowledge. Isn't it the reason why I was so adamant on having you as my master."
Auriane confessed without bating an eye, but it didn't seem to bother Mama and she replied with a wide smile.
"Good, good, I love your honesty, tell me more, little disciple."
Auriane finally relaxed and recounted everything to Mama Ben in detail without hiding any truth from her, apart from the truth of her rebirth of course.
