Zara’s POV The bathroom is stocked with my favourite brand of body wash and hair products, because of course it is, and it irks me that he still remembers these small details about me. I spend as long as possible showering and changing, just so I can put off the inevitable of having to face Gerrard again, but finally, I have to admit that I can stall no longer and open the door to my room and head back to the living room. Gerrard is nowhere to be seen, and I snarl at the pang of disappointment that hits me in the chest. Striding across the room to what was once my bedroom, I lift my hand and knock loudly. ‘Come in’ Gerrard’s deep timber rumbles back. ‘I’d rather not’ I retort, taking a step back and crossing my arms over my chest as a definite sound of laughter floats through the door
