Azly’s sweet little face scrunched up as she began to fuss. “She’s hungry,” I said. Liam nodded behind me. “I’ll have them bring us a bottle,” he said softly. “I wish you would have spent more time with her,” I whispered. Liam buried his face into the back of my neck. The longer I was awake, the more clearly I could feel our bond again. I could tell Liam was just a maelstrom of conflicting emotions right now. “The important thing is that I have you back now, and I will not stop until there is nothing that threatens you or our pups ever again, Little Luna,” he said in a low voice. Azly started fussing a bit more; I bounced her gently in my arms. She seemed to like that, although only slightly. A nurse came into the room, bringing us a bottle for her.
