I knew I couldn’t handle going home right now and having to deal with all of those people that were probably going to make my life a misery so I walked around town for a bit before I stopped at the park and I sat on the swings by myself while I was thinking.
Thinking about what to do next. Thinking about my life in general. It was all pretty messed up s**t right now.
I knew one thing for sure though. Those people weren’t my friends. At least not anymore.
I was in a really f****d up way when I met them and they pulled me out of it. And in only several moments put together they took everything away from me.
The stability and the friendship and everything else I had gained since moving here.
Since my father was sentenced to death in California, since I was finally freed from him house and I testified against him.
I left California because my father had some powerful friends that were going to probably come after me.
I filed for emancipation when I was 15 and I was awarded a settlement from the state of Califnornia which is why I was able to buy that house and that restaurant.
I was only 11 when I testified against my father, and that was after he tried to kill me. I was a witness to all of his crimes and he didn’t want to leave me alive. But I did survive and I went into foster care.
Well, that ended badly. Obviously. Which is why I got the settlement and which is why I got the hell out of Los Angeles.
I came to Ohio because I knew that they wouldn’t look for me here and things finally started falling into place after I came here.
My life seemed to be back on track but they just stole all of that away from me.
My brothers weren’t allowed custody of me because they are all ex cons which is why I went to foster care.
My head felt like it was all over the place at the moment. In only moments I lost my boyfriend and my friends.
I know that I am the one that did it and I don’t regret doing it. I needed them to know that I knew. I always knew.
I don’t know why they haven’t realized yet that they can’t keep secrets from me. My little super power is the reason why I’ve known about them sleeping together since it happened.
And it took all of my strength and will power to hold out for as long as I did without telling them or anyone else that I knew and pretending like I wasn’t pissed at everyone around me.
“Hey there Storm.” Someone said from the side of the park so I looked up and Drake was standing there.
“Storm. No one’s called me that in years.” I said.
“Yeah. I didn’t think so. But I think it suits you. What are you doing here?” He asked walking closer.
“I could ask you the same question.” I said.
“I was riding past and I saw you.” He said.
“I didn’t even hear you.” I said.
“I noticed. You look pretty distracted.” He said.
“I guess you could say that.” I said.
“Is everything alright?” He asked.
“No. But it’s not something that I want to get into either.” I said.
“That’s fair enough.” He said leaning against the side of the swings and I heard the metal creak under his weight.
I couldn’t help but laugh at that.
“Tell me the truth. Does your size ever bother you or do you love it?” I asked.
“Sometimes it bothers me. Like right now. I’d love to sit on that other swing and talk to you but I’d probably break it.” He said.
“Yeah. You definitely would.” I smirked.
“But I also love it because it scares the hell out of people that need to be taught a lesson. Who do you need me to go and scare?” He asked.
“No one. If I want to scare anyone then I’ll do it myself.” I said.
“I don’t doubt that. Do you want to go somewhere?” He asked.
“Where?” I asked.
“Anywhere. Let’s just go for a ride.” He said.
“You know what, I’d love that. As long as it’s the highway and not around town.” I said.
“Done.” He said. So I got up off the swing and we started walking towards his bike.
