Lexi’s POV
It has been three weeks since Cameron got kicked out. He has been living with Humphrey’s the whole time. Things have slowly gotten better, especially since Mr. Hick was arrested and charged with a misdemeanor. He is currently on probation and is to have no contact with Cameron.
I know Cameron spending time with his older brother also helped a lot. When Patrick was in town, Mrs. Hick was able to convince the two of them to go out to breakfast with her. During breakfast, she informed them that she was leaving their dad. She basically said she would never let someone hurt her babies again and refused to be with someone who would hurt them.
