Air stilled for a moment, eerily quiet, and everything around the wolf froze and then there was an ear-splitting cry. It was strange, but she saw everything shatter around them as the wolf floated through the air.
And with a loud bang, its paws landed heavily on the hood of the car. The wolf snarled, showing its fangs as another silver bullet narrowly missed Elian. Drool dripped down its muzzle as it snarled. Its eyes were dark and cruel and Elian could see his bloodlust in his eyes.
