Elian waited for something to shift in her. She felt the power, and it was a hundred times more than she had ever felt. Her whole body felt like it was electrocuted by the energy from the pendant.
'Xena?' Elian whispered to her wolf, who was strangely quiet. For a second, Elian was worried about the silence, but then she heard the loud growl of her wolf inside her head at the same time as Esme started to shudder. Her body trembled like she was standing naked in the middle of the snow. Elian looked at her with a worried frown. Esme didn't look so good. She looked kind of pale and chalky.
"You okay? Is it not working? Can you hear your wolf?" Elian was so scared
