Two days later, at the humanitarian medical tent in Sergio, Rick lay on the thin mat placed on the rough hard ground, groaning in pain. Next to him was a row of patients, some in worse condition than him. He had only been there for two days but pretty much knew the drill. The deafening sound of a bomb going off would be heard. Hours following that, his military crew members would bring in severely injured men, women and children they rescued. The horrific expressions on those they brought in did not even tell the full story of the people’s suffering in Sergio.
